Great Hall

The Great Hall (also known as College Hall) is the perfect venue for weddings, concerts, exhibitions, conferences, special events, product launches, receptions, cocktail and dinner functions.

Architectural features include kauri panelling and Oamaru Stone, a working fireplace and a magnificent stained glass window, installed to commemorate the staff and students who fought in World War 1. Included features are dimmable lighting, Green Room, wheelchair access, a vestibule and internal heating.  A lighting rig and sound system are also available.

Dimensions and Capacity

The dimensions of College Hall are 23m by 10m.

Hire Charges

$100 per hour or part thereof (8:30am – 1:00pm)

$150 per hour or part thereof (1:00pm – midnight)

Full day: $1,800 Sunday – Friday

Full day: $2,050 Saturday

Bond: $1,000

Equipment Hire

The hirer is responsible for providing all equipment required for the function.  The Arts Centre has a list of preferred contractors.  Please discuss your requirements with our Visitor Services staff.
