Current Projects

Conservation work is carried out throughout the year, often within buildings and not always visible to the public. The Property Team can be involved with anything from repairing a door to re-slating a roof.

Regular conservation work includes:

Painting
- windows and timber work
- ceilings and walls

Internal repairs

- ceiling replacement

- new wall linings
- upgrade internal spaces, including amenities areas

Electrical
- new wiring and switchboard upgrades
- better lighting, heating, and power supply

Stonework
- repair of soft stone features
- repair of volcanic stone walls
- summer stone cleaning programme

Roofs 

- slate repair and leak prevention
