William Rolleston statue

Located opposite the Great Hall, the William Rolleston statue was reinstated in December 2016, almost six years after he toppled off his plinth during the earthquakes.

This collage shows how similar the Rolleston Avenue-Worcester Boulevard corner looks now, compared to when the statue was first installed about 1880.

The Great Hall in the background has been fully restored and re-opened in mid-2016.
