Liz has been at the Arts Centre since 2004, initially covering a maternity leave position.
“My role has changed but I never left. I love this place.”
Liz oversees the development of health and safety policies, procedures and systems to ensure workers on the site are as safe as possible.
She looks after the Arts Centre’s extensive archives plus researches the site’s history – helping stonemasons and others restore the site’s heritage features.
“It feels wonderful to be able to contribute to something that will hopefully be here for my great, great grand children. The Arts Centre we all knew before the earthquakes will be here again – full of artists, shop owners, performers, architects, movie-goers, market people, office dwellers – vibrant and unique.”
