Alix Ashworth’s Ko Au exhibition is a journey into discovering, questioning and connecting with culture and race.

Alix Ashworth

Alix is a Ngāi Tahu ceramic and multimedia artist working from her home studio in Christchurch.

Her work explores the boundaries between internal and external reality.

Using clay to create unique sculpture, homewares or performance connects her to the earth and keeps her aware of sustainability in her practice.

She currently works with themes around motherhood and ethnicity.

The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10 and 30 minute visitor carparks located at Market Square near the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street.

Plenty of on-street metered parking is available near the Arts Centre, along with a number of off-street carparks.
