Arts Centre Mākete school holiday fun

The Arts Centre Mākete has kids sorted these school holidays!

There’s free face painting at the mākete on Sunday 15 and Sunday 22 July from 10.30am to 12.00pm, and a super cool native bird colouring competition for children aged up to (and including) 14 years old.

The lucky colouring competition winner will win a mākete prize pack, including a rainbow lollipop and sour mix from Sweet; a Jeliku and Thinking Putty from The Arts Centre; and a family pass to Rutherfords’ Den.

The colouring competition can be collected from The Arts Centre Mākete stall during the market on Sundays between 10.00am and 3.00pm, from Rutherfords’ Den in the Clock Tower (2 Worcester Boulevard) any day of the week between 10.00am and 5.00pm, or downloaded from here.

Entries are limited to one per child and must be dropped into The Arts Centre Mākete or Rutherford’s Den at 2 Worcester Boulevard before 3.00pm on Sunday 22 July 2019.

Colouring competition terms and conditions

Entry

  • Competition open to children aged 14 and under who are resident in New Zealand.
  • The entry form can be downloaded from here, or collected from The Arts Centre Mākete or Rutherford’s Den.
  • The competition is limited to one entry per child.
  • To enter, entries must be dropped at The Arts Centre’s stall at The Arts Centre Mākete or Rutherford’s Den at 2 Worcester Boulevard before 3.00pm on Sunday 22 July 2019.
  • Be sure the child’s name and age and a parent or guardian’s e-mail address or phone number are included on the entry form so that the winner may be notified.
  • The competition closes at 3.00pm on Sunday 22 July 2019.
  • After the competition closes, entries may be used for The Arts Centre Mākete and The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora related publicity.

Judging

  • Entries will be judged by The Arts Centre Mākete management team. Their decision will be final.
  • Decisions are at the discretion of The Arts Centre Mākete and are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to award multiple winners and prizes, or no winners and prizes.

Winners

  • The prize winner must be a New Zealand residents.
  • The winner will be notified by phone or email to the parent or guardian included in the entry form.
  • The prize from The Arts Centre Mākete and Rutherford’s Den will have to be collected.
  • Winners will be notified by Wednesday 31 July 2019.

Driving & Parking

The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10 and 30 minute visitor carparks located at Market Square near the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street.

Plenty of on-street metered parking is available near the Arts Centre, along with a number of off-street carparks.
