Tī kōuka string-making classes

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays - Boys' High

Rekindle is holding regular tī kōuka cabbage tree leaf string- and rope-making classes for visitors on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings*.

The workshop is a fun experience for all ages and a unique, resourceful way to connect with Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Rekindle also offers a range of other rich and varied workshops, including soap making, spoon carving, and eco-book making. It is continually adding new classes and crafts and more information can be found here.

The organisation is a social enterprise dedicated to creating opportunities for resourcefulness, or making what we need from we have around us.

Dates: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. * During June and July the workshops are held only on Fridays.

Time: 10.30am to 11.30am

Venue: Rekindle, level one, Boys’ High building, the Arts Centre te Matatiki Toi Ora, 28 Worcester Boulevard.


Driving & Parking

The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10 and 30 minute visitor carparks located at Market Square near the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street.

Plenty of on-street metered parking is available near the Arts Centre, along with a number of off-street carparks.
