Word Christchurch 2018: The Neu! Ōtautahi! Incident

Haere mai, talofa, and walcome to the inaugural collision of some of Scotland, Aotearoa and beyond’s favourite wordsmiths, mavericks, lexical butter churners and raconteurs as part of the Word Christchurch Festival 2018.

This fast-paced and gnarly buffet of verse, music and performance is hosted by Michael Pedersen, co-creator of Edinburgh’s iconic Neu! Reekie! showcases – “Scotland’s favourite avante-garde noise makers” – knowing fur blurring the boundaries between spoken word, animation, film, music, and the realms beyond.

The bar will be open aw nicht, with the sweet sounds of DJs Tawdrey Trainwreck and blle fmme spinning tunes between shows.

Driving & Parking

The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10 and 60 minute visitor carparks located at Market Square near the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street.

Plenty of on-street metered parking is available near the Arts Centre, along with a number of off-street carparks.
