Terms and conditions for the ultimate Arts Centre experience for two

  1. Information on How to Enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry to this Competition. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information on How to Enter and other details and instructions, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.
  2. Entry into this Competition indicates an acceptance and agreement of all these terms & conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions you should not enter the Competition.
  3. Entry is open to NZ residents except employees (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora including their tenant organisations associated with the Competition, and all other Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora tenancies. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid. If the main prize winner drawn is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to their parent or guardian.
  4. All prizes that make up this Competition will be subject to individual businesses terms and conditions for each individual prize.
  5. To enter, visit: www.artscentre.org.nz/explore, enter your details in the form provided and answer the question provided, and you’re in the draw. Entries close at 4.00pm Friday 20 September 2019.
  6. There is one prize to be won. Prize details and terms are described below:
    • Two consecutive nights’ accommodation in one double room in The Arts Centre’s Creative Residence with living spaces shared with other guests, subject to availability at time of booking.
    • A private Arts Centre tour for two.
    • A $200 voucher to spend on a service or jewellery purchase at Absolution.
    • Two 30-minute treatments at Skin Space. Subject to availability at time of booking.
    • A $30 Rollickin’ Gelato gift card
    • A copy of WRAP magazine, issue 12 from Pepa Stationery
    • Two adult passes to Rutherford’s Den
    • Two tickets to one 2020 Bread & Circus show held at Backstage Social Club
    • $60 gift card to use at Bunsen
    • Two adult Department of Conservation annual hut passes, valued at $244
    • We Could be Heroes exhibition catalogue and a University of Canterbury greeting card pack
    • A $40 Fudge Cottage gift basket
    • A $75 gift card to spend at Lumière Cinemas including at Bijou Bar
    • An Arts Centre pendant and chain from Soul Jewellery, valued at $269
    • A signed copy of Rosa Shiel’s book, Neil Dawson’s Fanfare from SCAPE Public Art.
  7. Accommodation booking for the Creative Residence must be made by 29 February 2020 for a stay no later than 30 June 2020. Prize winner and companion should be 18 years or older for the accommodation element of the prize.
  8. The Prize winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize including (where applicable) accommodation, transport, parking, meal costs, spending money and all other incidentals.
  9. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Any unused portion of the prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash.
  10. Accepting the prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of the accommodation/transport/services or retailers (as applicable), and in particular, health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. No compensation will be payable if the winner, or their companions, are unable to use any element of the prize as stated for whatever reason, due to health, age, behaviour or safety reasons or in the event of a force majeure. Any part of a prize that is not used for any reason is forfeited.
  11. The prize draw will take place around 4.30pm on Friday 20 September 2019.
    The winner will be notified by phone and confirmed in writing. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 96 hours of the prize draw, that winner will forfeit the prize and a redraw will be made.
  12. The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to making multiple entries, or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  13. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora reserves the right to vary any of the terms of entry applying to this Competition or to modify, terminate, suspend or reschedule this Competition.
  15. The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  16. The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora are not responsible for the transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, either caused by user error or any equipment or programming malfunction associated with the Competition.
  17. The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this Competition or claiming/winning any prize, except as required by law.
  18. All entries become the property of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora collects personal information and The

  21. The winners’ name and photo may be used for publicity purposes and by accepting the prize the winners must make themselves available for this purpose.
