Artists and creative organisations are encouraged to book a new community exhibition space in the fully restored Boys’ High building on Worcester Boulevard.
You may be eligible to have your weekly hire fee paid for by the Christchurch City Council Strengthening Communities Fund. If you’re interested, please include the reason you’d like to be considered for a sponsored week in the booking form ‘description’ field below.

The bright and lofty upper-floor exhibition space has been especially designed for community use. The high-vaulted ceiling, meticulously restored paintwork and woodwork, and natural light make it a perfect space to exhibit.
Offering the space to artists, photographers, designers and other creative organisations at an affordable rate perfectly aligns with the Arts Centre’s goal of fostering arts, culture, education and creative industries in the heart of Christchurch.
Pūmanawa is located upstairs in the Boys’ High building on Worcester Boulevard, an historic building that is home to a growing number of independent, boutique retailers along with the Christchurch i-SITE Visitor Information Centre. It’s use has been made possible with support from Christchurch City Council.
