Sponsor a cast-iron decorative Victorian downpipe
Sponsor a cast-iron highly decorative (but also functional) downpipe as part of the huge restoration project at the Arts Centre – then come and visit it the next time you are in town.
The Victorians made a feature of even the most menial parts of a building, and the trusty downpipes to channel the rainwater into the drains were no exception. The original ornate pipework is now brittle and old, and has been carefully replicated in modern metal to ensure they will definitely last another 140 years at least, so you are making an investment in the future of the Arts Centre.
The pipework is being replaced throughout the site as part of the restoration, ensuring consistency and authenticity. Note the heritage detailing in the ivy and the particular colour of the protective paint.
Sponsor a downpipe as a unique gift for someone special, and you can opt to receive a free Arts Centre card, imprinted with the details of the sponsorship on the inside left side for you to send to them.
Your sponsorship will be classed as a charitable donation and a tax receipt will be provided. Please note if paying via credit card that we only accept Visa and MasterCard.
