Book now for the popular Rutherford’s Den education programmes – back at the Arts Centre and available Monday to Friday. Dynamic, interactive and activities-based, the programmes are inspired by the work of famous New Zealand scientist Ernest, Lord Rutherford.
Suitable for children from Years 1 to 13 and supported by the Ministry of Education, these unique and stimulating programmes have links to the curriculum and the five competencies. They provide students with access to tools, objects, exhibits, artefacts, expertise, and hands-on experiences that are not available in the immediate school environment.
The programmes are once again being offered from Rutherford’s Den on-site at the Arts Centre following a major refurbishment.
The space is now a hands-on science museum, based on the major discoveries of Rutherford, including the nuclear atom. To find out more, either fill out the booking form below, or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Programmes are $5 per student. This should not be considered an obstacle to any school who wishes to attend as subsidies are available. Please contact us to discuss.
