Rutherford’s Den Colouring Competition

Show us your colouring skills! Enter the Rutherford’s Den colouring competition.

These April school holidays Rutherford’s Den is running an exciting kids’ colouring competition.

The colouring competition is open to children aged 0-14 years old and includes three age categories 0-4 years, 5-8 years and 9-14 years. The competition is limited to one entry per child.

The three lucky winners, one from each age category, will win a mini art pack (including colouring pencils, ruler and jeliku) and a family pass to Rutherford’s Den – a hands-on science museum.

The competition can be downloaded here, or collected at Rutherford’s Den, the weekly Sunday Arts Centre Mākete (market) or at one of The Hits pop-up stations around Christchurch city.

To enter, either drop your entries into The Hits pop-up colouring stations or take your entries into Rutherford’s Den at 2 Worcester Boulevard during the April school holidays (13-28 April). Every entry handed into Rutherford’s Den will receive an Easter treat.

Entries close 5pm on Sunday, 28 April 2019 and winners will be notified the following week by phone or email.

Kids go free

These school holidays, between 13-28 April, kids go free with every full paying adult to Rutherford’s Den. This is limited to one child (5-17 years) going free with a full paying adult.

Explore Rutherford’s Den

Rutherford’s Den is a whole world of science, history, discovery and wonder brought to life through exciting multi- sensory displays and hands-on science. A place where Christchurch’s early history comes alive through the life and achievements of one of the greatest scientists of all time, Ernest, Lord Rutherford.
