Rollickin Gelato is a dessert café serving up delicious house-made organic gelato and sorbet, sweet cabinet food and organic coffee.
Its gelato is made with only the good stuff – organic, nutrient-rich milk delivered daily from free-range, happy go lucky cows in Rangiora, North Canterbury, and real flavour ingredients such as fresh strawberries, homemade hokey pokey pieces and brownie chunks, and fresh mint leaves.
You may find the odd bit of pip, leaf or pith in Rollickin’s gelato and sorbets and that’s because of the real ingredients. For example…
- The mint chocolate flavour is actual mint leaves infused overnight in organic milk and whipped into the gelato.
- The dairy-free fruit sorbets are made with a hefty 1.5 kilograms of real fruit. Tick! That’s your fruit intake done for the day.
- For the creative dessert gelato flavours like banoffee pie, it starts with house made biscuit crumbs and salty caramel sauce and then dark chocolate is added. Then the gelato chefs go nuts smashing, folding and rippling it through banana gelato, which is, of course, made with real bananas!
