Four books (audience suggested) are welcomed into the literati ThunderDome to fight to the death for our entertainment – it’s like Highlander but with books! But first, we must discuss them like the civilised consumers of culture that we are!
Hosted by former WWF wrestler El Jaguar, a Latino luchador who’s fallen on hard times, this is the most hilarious and unusual book club you’ve ever joined.
As seen at the NZ International Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Auckland Writers Festival and World Buskers Festival.
For those who love book clubs. For those who hate book clubs. This is the book club for you.
Enjoy busy days exploring, creating and learning. Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre is made for memories.
This event is part of The Arts Centre's School Holiday Fun happening between the 2-19 April 2026.
