Inspiring makers: Liberation Jewellery

The Arts Centre Mākete is not open right now, but our inspiring makers are still getting creative!

Matt from Liberation Jewellery, carefully and cleverly creates jewellery from wood that would otherwise be destined for the dump. He turns native timber offcuts and broken skateboards into beautiful earrings, necklaces, cuff-links and more.

Visit www.liberationjewellery.com to learn more about Matt's work.

Our Mākete Coordinator Abbie and her daughter Florence were inspired to create jewellery from waste products at home during lockdown. Check out this PDF resource which explains how you can make them too, and view our how-to video here.
