Monday 29 November to Sunday 12 December
Venue: Pūmanawa Community Exhibition Space
The annual exhibition and sale of hand-crafted jewellery made by members of the Silversmiths’ Guild of Canterbury.
The Silversmiths’ Guild is a non-profit organisation located in Woolston offering a range of classes tailored for both beginners and those with experience. Over the course of a term you can learn the basic skills to make your own rings, brooches, chains, earrings, pendants or bracelets. For more information please visit www.silversmithsguild.org.nz or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be prizes awarded for the work judged as best reflecting the theme of colour, and a peoples’ vote where visitors choose their favourite.
New students’ work will also be showcased to attract visitors who may be considering taking up this productive and satisfying hobby.
Exhibitors will be in the space daily to answer any queries and talk about their work and the classes the Guild has to offer. Learning the art of silversmithing can be extremely rewarding - not to mention highly compulsive! Come and find out more about the Guild and take home a unique treasure for someone special.
Payment by eftpos is welcome.
