The Magic of Colour and Light

Two local artists, Therese Boustead and Sandie Brown are holding an exhibition of their fabulous representational and timeless original watercolour and oil artworks that celebrates the magic of colour and light.

At least one of the two artists will be present throughout the day to answer questions and discuss or demonstrate their art.  They would love you to seek them out.

Therese has a passion for painting in watercolour. She uses vibrant colour in backgrounds to highlight the elegance, delicacy and fragility of nature, in particular New Zealand local and native birds.

Sandie’s greatest love is to explore the effect of light as it moves across the canvas in a variety of subject matter, be it still life, landscapes and travel memories, or a furry friend.

In addition to original artwork, the exhibition will have the artist’s work on fridge magnets, art-print bookmarks, gift tags and cards. $1 of every card sold is donated to St John Ambulance.  A wonderful opportunity for those Christmas gifts for someone special.

As a bonus, Ryman Healthcare has generously donated an exquisite gift basket that will be given to the lucky winner after the exhibition closes.
