Over & Out – Anton Mogridge

23 November - 19 December 2018 - Boys' High

The purpose of communication is the exchange of information from one person(s) to the next.

The context and/or purpose of communication can, however, be easily be lost or can deviate from the origin in the delivery.

The term “over and out” derived from radio transmission and since been commonly used in Hollywood movies. However, the way in which the saying has been interpreted and used has become confused, thus thwarting the intent.

Christchurch artist Anton Mogridge’s works in this show explore this grey area of communication and the vessel in which words and messages are shared.
