This summer Bread & Circus – World Buskers Festival invites you to step into the heart of the city, the Arts Centre te Matatiki Toi Ora and beyond, for a whole month of extravaganza – world-class busking, award-winning shows and plenty of free spectacle for all.

Celebrating a rich 25-year history, Bread & Circus 2019 is taking the World Buskers Festival into the future, with reimagined twists and turns from 10 January to 3 February 2019.

The full festival programme is out now and features an incredible line-up at the Arts Centre’s Backstage Social Club (The Gym) and busking pitches at Market Square and the North Quadrangle.

Festival events at the Backstage Social Club include:

Free and hatted (there’s no cost to watch the shows, but donations are welcome at the end) events at the Arts Centre include Daredevil Chicken Club, Satya Bella, Mulletman, Dream Garden, The Atari Show, Pedro Tochas, The Miss Behave Street Show, Mickey J, Sara Twister, Biggest Little Circus and much, much more!

Driving & Parking

The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10 and 30 minute visitor carparks located at Market Square near the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street.

Plenty of on-street metered parking is available near the Arts Centre, along with a number of off-street carparks.
