KidsFest – Amazing Atoms

10–18 July, 10am-11.30am - Rutherford's Den

Television, radio, sonar and telephones – just some of the great inventions we enjoy today thanks to the scientific discoveries made by Lord Ernest Rutherford and his peers. Step inside Rutherford’s Den and enjoy fun, hands-on activities as you learn about science in the actual rooms where Rutherford studied.

Dress as an olden-day student and explore the hands-on Rutherford’s Den exhibit. Enjoy activities in the historic lab and classroom where Lord Ernest Rutherford studied and craft a cool science project. His work led to discovering how the inside of an atom looks.
