Season of the Witch Film Festival

5 - 31 October 2019 - West Lecture

The Season of the Witch Film Festival is a classic retrospective of witch-themed cinema, all screening during the spookiest month of the year – October!

Witches are a recurring staple of genre cinema, often providing an excuse for stylish exercises in cinematic form. Atmospheric drive-through B-movies such as Night of the Eagle and City of the Dead are both riveting examples, as are Dario Argento’s memorable giallo films Suspiria and Inferno.

Come down to Lumière Cinemas and collect a programme – you’ll find something that fits your witchy needs, whether it be comedy, drama, thriller or horror, this festival has it all.

  • Night of The Eagle (1962)
  • City of the Dead (1960)
