Te Kōrero Tākaro Stories of Play

Friday 21 March - Sunday 18 May 2025

Venue: Altiora

Te Kōrero Tākaro/ Stories of Play is an oral history project that celebrates the diversity of Aotearoa and connects people across different cultures, faiths and generations through play.

The Te Kōrero Tākaro Play Trail launched on Race Relations Day, 21st March 2025. Along the trail you can have a go at playing some traditional games and listening to audio clips from interviews conducted with people from different ethnic communities as part of this project.

This project is a collaboration between Gap Filler - Pae Tākaro Place of Play, InCommon and Our Stories. Funded by Rātā Foundation, Ministry for Ethnic Communities and 53 generous supporters through Boosted Ōtautahi.
