The Arts Centre Trust and The Central Art Gallery have jointly developed a plan to extend the life of The Central Art Gallery which was due to close at the end of March.

Maxine also offers art cards, bookmarks, reproductions (photo or archival giclées), and unique gifts.

Cubbin Theatre: Sportsball

Sportsball is the story of Tai, a young child with an active inner world and an active outer world. Tai loves playing and watching sports with his dad and he loves his big red ball. He can do lots of amazing tricks with his ball but when a game at a birthday party doesn’t go his way, Tai has to work through his feelings and find a way to move through a difficult situation with the help of his dad, his friends and his imagination.

Whare Tapere were spaces on Pā sites, where Māori would come together to celebrate and use a range of artforms to share their stories. Artist-scholars such as Charles Royal and Nicola Hyland are bringing to light this history through their research and writing. Māori artists are embracing and enlivening the storied tradition of these houses in their practice.
