A highlight of the Christchurch Big Band Festival each year is the Big Band Boogie Ball.
Dance the night away to the swing dance music of Nelson Jazz Club Big Band, the 2024 All Star Band and the Ellesmere Big Band. And you won’t want to miss the special dance demo break by the Swingtown Rebels!

All Star Big Band (made up of amazing players representing many of the 2025 festival bands from around Te Wai Pounamu, the South Island)
Ellesmere Big Band
The Arts Centre Bar will be serving Main Divide wine and 3 boys beer along with Pals Vodka and a range of non alcoholic options.
