Cut Outs is a continuation of Klaudia’s signature distorted portraiture style, while simultaneously an exploration of new mediums and themes.
Klaudias dynamic and spontaneous approach to art lead her to experimenting with offcuts of found and recycled wood, layered with an array of materials including leather, fur, chains and oil paint resulting in a series of strangely whimsical characters, each with their own distinct visual personality.
Since the start of the year, Klaudia has been experimenting with mixing 3D with 2D elements which has opened up a new world in terms of how she is able to depict her iconic faces and characters. Parting ways with traditional framed artworks and flat paintings, Klaudia has discovered new freedoms in working with these large shaped pieces and tactile materials.
Blending woodwork with fabrics, metals, paint and sculptural elements, Cut Outs is a true mixed media experience which has allowed Klaudia to delve deeper into her unique aesthetic style
