What does it take to build something truly epic out of Lego? Find out how to get started with turning your dreams into reality with Lego Masters NZ S1 winner Jake Roos and runner up Emily Fryer. This hands-on workshop for adults will include a warm up challenge, fleshing out your ideas using maquettes, and putting mechanisms into models.

Jake Roos won Season One Lego Masters New Zealand and is well known for his incredible mechanised Lego creations. He has exhibited his work all around the country at Brick Shows, shopping malls, Canterbury Museum and Tūhura Otago Museum.

Emily Fryer came second in the Season One Lego Masters New Zealand and helped mastermind 'A Murmuration of Bricks', an interactive Lego artwork of over 90,000 Lego bricks. She has also exhibited her Canterbury inspired Lego Dress at the Canterbury Museum, now in the museum collection. In her other life she conserved almost all of the Logie Collection of artefacts after the Canterbury earthquakes.

This workshop is suitable for LEGO enthusiasts aged 15 years and over. Places are limited to 20 attendees so registration is essential. Book your tickets now!
