Initiation to Puppetry is a 4-hour, hands-on workshop full of creativity and play.
Step into the magical world of puppet theatre as you learn the basics of puppet-making and explore how to bring puppets to life through movement, presence, and imagination. Make your very own Bunraku-style paper puppet and try your hand at shadow puppetry. Laugh, play, and explore the world of puppets — you’ll leave inspired, full of ideas, and ready for your next puppet-making adventure! Especially created for ages 6 - 13 years.
We’ll have a short break mid-afternoon so don’t forget to pack a tasty snack.
Enjoy busy days exploring, creating and learning. Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre is made for memories.
