Rising Stars is a Tuesday lunchtime concert series that focuses on encouraging, nurturing and providing a performance platform for emerging young musicians.

Supporting the next generation of musicians to shine!

Become a member of the Concerts for Christchurch Friends or Friends of The Arts Centre to receive special $10 tickets.

How do I get tickets?

In advance

Book your tickets online. Scroll down and select the concert you wish to attend and click on 'Find out more' to book your ticket. 

On the day

Purchase tickets at the Great Hall entrance from midday on the day of the concert.

Reserving Seats

Purchasing a ticket to a Tuesday Series concert guarantees you a seat to watch the performance. If you have a specific seat you prefer, please come early to reserve that seat. There is no formal reserve seating process.  

 

 

Performances take place in the Great Hall of Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre from 1.10pm to 1.50pm on the following dates:

Ethan (13) and Caleb (11) are talented young Christchurch pianists, who also play violin, french horn, and trumpet. Both are music scholars at St Andrews’ College. Find out more

Oliver Williams (piano)
Tuesday 11 November 2025 Great Hall

Oliver Williams, a gifted 12-year-old pianist, passed ABRSM Grade 8 with Distinction when he was 10 and now awaits his ATCL results. Find out more

Hailing from Christchurch both Christine and Matthew are now second year music students at the University of Auckland. They are a skilled team; to hear and watch them perform is quite breathtaking. Find out more
