Silversmiths' Guild Annual Exhibition 2025

Tuesday 09 to Sunday 21 December 2025

Time

10.00AM – 4.00PM

Opening event: Tuesday 09 December | 5.00 - 7.00pm

Venue: Pūmanawa

The Exhibition features over 300 handcrafted pieces from 30 talented local makers who are members of the Silversmiths' Guild of Canterbury.

This year's exhibition celebrates 40 years of creativity, craftsmanship and passing of knowledge about an ancient craft. Browse stunning jewellery and miniatures from guest exhibitors from The Ashburton Society of Arts.

The exhibitors are taking turns hosting the Exhibition and are available to talk about the pieces and how they are made. They will be working at the jeweller's bench when things are quiet and have some small projects for visitors to 'have a go' for a small fee.

Enjoy the exhibition and find that meaningful, one-of-a-kind gift for yourself or someone just as special. Eftpos available.

Artists' Biography

The jewellery makers are members of Silversmiths' Guild of Canterbury. Some have just started their jewellery-making journey, and others sell through galleries and online. Members are able to use the studio and tools when it is not being used for teaching classes.

The Guild was based at the Arts Centre pre-quakes and now has a teaching studio in The Tannery complex in Woolston.

The miniature makers are members of The Ashburton Society of Arts.
