    5 June: Eat My Shorts

    Eat My Shorts is a funk band featuring a horn section and DJ/MC. Playing James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Don Covay and much more. Reformed in 2019 to play the Christchurch Arts Festival, they continue as a going concern. They love to showcase wicked tunes from the '60s and '70s. This 10-piece funk/soul band are here to get the room pumping.

    12 June: Sideline Swing

    Sideline Swing is an 18–20 piece community big band based in Christchurch, performing big band favourites spanning from the 1910s through to today. The band brings lively rhythms, classic melodies, and plenty of energy to every performance.

    Known for their fun and light-hearted style, Sideline Swing combines great music with humour and entertainment, creating shows that are as engaging as they are danceable. The band’s members span seven decades in age, reflecting a vibrant and inclusive community spirit, while their repertoire covers more than a century of music.

    19 June: Silverlocks

    Silverlocks is a nine-piece swing band from Christchurch featuring some of the city’s finest jazz musicians. Delivering an irresistible mix of big band classics, smooth vocals, and high-energy performances, Silverlocks guarantees toe-tapping rhythms and music that swing dancers can swing to!

    26 June: Will Kao’s Latin Experiment

    William Kao presents his Latin Experiment, a 10-piece band focused on creating an authentic Latin Experience. Expect to see Jack Harre (trumpet), Michael Gordon (saxophone), Sung Woo Han (keys), Ananda Massa Cotet (vocals), Cam Finley (drums/percussion), and Frank Stedman (percussion), and maybe some special guests.
