The long-awaited Formosa Festival 2026 brings together culture, markets, music, film, and interactive experiences for a full day of celebration.

From the morning onwards, the festival grounds will feature a Carnival Market, Game Zones, and a wide variety of stalls, showcasing Taiwanese cuisine and cultural highlights. Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, you’ll enjoy a lively and welcoming atmosphere filled with the warmth and energy of Formosa.

1:00 – 2:00 PM | Opening Ceremony

The official opening of Formosa Festival 2026 marks the beginning of a day-long cultural celebration.

The ceremony will feature welcoming remarks, cultural presentations, and special performances that set the tone for the festival—celebrating the spirit of Formosa and the connections between Taiwan and Aotearoa New Zealand.

This opening moment invites everyone to come together, share stories, and begin the journey of hearing, seeing, and experiencing Formosa.

Throughout the afternoon, live music performances will take place on site, using rhythm and melody as a universal language to connect cultures and people.

3:00 – 5:00 PM | Film Screening

A special screening of the Taiwanese documentary Sounds of Taiwan.

Through powerful imagery, the film takes audiences from mountains to ocean, allowing us to listen to the land itself and experience the deep connection between Taiwan’s nature and humanity.

5:00 – 6:00 PM | Lucky Draw

7:30 – 9:30 PM | Evening Concert
