Where We Draw the Line

by Ara/Te Pukenga School of Art and Design

Tuesday 16 September - Sunday 28 September 2025

Time

10.00AM – 4.00PM

Venue: Pūmanawa Gallery

For this exhibition, a group of creatives from the Ara Institute of Canterbury chose a deliberately open brief. They respect each artist's decision on how to interpret the theme, according to what they need their art to be, in context of their lives.

Working with a range of media, they want to demonstrate that art, alongside being a means to make a living, also provides individuals with the opportunity to explore the intersection of creativity, a sense of self, and wider social contexts.

Exhibiting Artists

John Hill, Jane Schollum, Carol King, John Osborne, Oliver Perkins, Katharina Jaeger, Holly Liberona, Denise Mill, Kim Lowe, Stefan Roberts, Nathan Ingram, Rach Winter, Deborah Marshall, Wendy Clarke, Julie Humby, Tessa Warburton

The creatives represented in this exhibition contribute to the teaching of art, design and fashion design at the Ara Institute of Canterbury, including the Timaru Campus.
