Anya Fang is currently a Year 13 Music and Academic scholar at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School and learns piano with Michael Endres.
Commencing piano lessons at the age of 5, Anya has studied with Sun Yi, Neville Baird, Melanie Lina. Anya achieved ATCL with distinction on piano in 2022, and then ATCL on violin in 2023.
This year Anya has been offered the Junior Pettman music scholarship. Anya is involved in many musical groups including orchestra, choir, and jazz band. She also enjoys spending time with her brother, Will and biking around Christchurch.
Anya will be performing works by Liszt and Haydn.

This event is part of the Rising Stars 2026 programme. A Tuesday lunchtimes concert series that focuses on encouraging, nurturing and providing a performance platform for emerging young musicians.
