Join us for PAOPAOPAKI, the official wrap-up pāti for Ihirangaranga: Creation & Connection, as we close out Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa Māori Music Month with an unforgettable night of music and movement.

PAOPAOPAKI is a celebration of the vibrant, innovative, and ever-evolving Māori DJ scene that keeps our dancefloors, gigs, and whare-pāti alive. Featuring sets from INFORDIN, LILA, and Tom Plum, expect a night of bass, beats, and pure energy as we come together to celebrate the power of sound and connection.

Whether you're here to shake, bounce, wiri, paki, or simply soak up the atmosphere, this is an invitation to move however your tinana wants to move. Bring your mates, celebrate the month that's been, and finish Ihirangaranga the best way we know how—through music, movement, and community.

A bar will be open throughout the night, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available to purchase.

Ihirangaranga: Creation & Connection

This event forms part of Ihirangaranga: Creation & Connection, a multi-week programme presented by Te Whare Tapere from 13 August – 5 September, celebrating Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa | Māori Music Month.

Guided by the whakaaro of ihirangaranga, the programme explores sound as a source of connection — carrying memory, wellbeing, and culture across generations. Through music, movement, film, and shared creative experiences, Ihirangaranga invites people to come together, listen, learn, and explore the many ways sound connects us to one another, our communities, and our stories.
