The River City Jazzmen—widely regarded as New Zealand’s premier Dixieland jazz band—return to The Arts Centre Jazz Club for another unforgettable evening of Dixie swing.
Led by Neill Pickard on banjo and guitar, the band features a stellar lineup: Michael Fairhurst (trumpet), Glyn MacDonald (trombone and piano), Allan Hawes (clarinet and saxophone), Dave Pitt (double bass), and Lou Moverley (drums).
Every River City Jazzmen performance is a celebration of classic jazz—lively, uplifting, and impossible to sit still to. Their shows at the Jazz Club have consistently sold out, and it’s easy to see why: the energy, musicianship, and sheer joy they bring to the stage make for a truly memorable night.
