This concert features Music Star pianist Kang Feng-Shen, joined by another Music Star collaborative pianist Tsai Wei Chen, in a program dedicated to two masterpieces of Russian Romanticism: Scriabin’s Piano Concerto in F-sharp Minor, Op. 20 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18.

Kang Feng-Shen completed both the Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance and the Advanced Diploma in Vocal Coaching at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying under renowned Russian pianist Natalia Trull. During his years in Russia, he received numerous awards, including First Prize at the All-Russian Pokalenya Z Competition and First Prize at the January Suite International Piano Competition in Klin. He has also been invited to serve as a jury member for international piano competitions.

Contrasting Scriabin’s poetic and mystical musical language with Rachmaninoff’s sweeping lyricism and emotional intensity, this program explores two distinct yet complementary voices of Russian music. From dreamlike introspection to passionate grandeur, the evening offers a journey through the rich and captivating world of Russian piano artistry.
