The first half on this concert features The Dan Robertson Trio performing the music of Bill Evans.

Known for his lyrical touch, lush chords, and introspective lines, Evans was influenced by such composers as Ravel and Debussy, and used that influence to reshape the sound of jazz. Tonight's programme draws from his rich body of work, from intimate ballads to the harmonically adventurous trio writing.

Brought to the fore by Christchurch's hottest piano trio:

    Dan Robertson - Piano
    Richie Pickard - Bass
    Joe McCallum - Rums

For the second half of this performance, Fiona Pears will be joining the trio, for an exciting programme spanning classical, tango, jazz, Latin, and Celtic traditions and showcasing Fiona's compositions.

This will be vibrant and fiery array musical flavours from four of the city's finest musicians.
